The new Apple Rule Shift change worked extremely good with the New BTC Wallet App, available for download from the iOS App Store for free. The new App is called CoinPocket and was described by his developer as a wrapper to the previously available open source HTML5 version, but this time users will have access to the camera web for QR scanning code.
With a basic feature set, CoinPocket give users the permission to do anything they manage to do with the antecedently iPhone Wallet App like Coinbase and Blockchain, which have worked a while without updates before being later on removed from the store.
The company updated the policy last week to quickly include the `approved` digital currencies.
The New App comes along with a new function available which allows users to `sweep` their founds into wallet from a private Key – very useful in fast BTC transfer – together with the ability to generate a BIP38 encrypted version of the private Key (but this can take a very long time because of all the users reporting crashes).
CoinPocket presents simple send and receive features and another 3 different sources for you to find the Bitcoin latest price information.
Now that Apple`s approves Bitcoin wallets, developers will be more focused on developing more fully-featured apps for OS mobile who has a big market share in many of the world`s richest markets.
The users who used to download the Blockchain App (who hit more than 120.000 downloads on Apple Store before the app was blocked) will now look for more updates to be as close as they can functionally, like their Android cousins.
The In-app Bitcoin purchases
Apple doesn`t approve just wallet apps, but also they allow other developers to buy Bitcoin within the app, in that case they can avoid the 30% Apple`s fee in all in-app purchases amounts agreement.
The eGifter app is another example who allows users today to buy gift cards with Bitcoin directly, making the impossible (a week ago you couldn`t buy anything from Walmart via Bitcoins) – possible because now you can!
Betcoin was the first iOS app wich allows users to spend in-app with Bitcoins, wich came out almost instantly after Apple`s announcement. The developer, Omri Cohen, said that it was somehow an experiment to examine what Apple will approve it and try to be more open-minded to Bitcoin market in the future.
